September brought new additions to the Tax team at CCL Auditores Consultores. Public accountant and auditor Sergio Bernales joined the firm’s Tax team as a Senior Manager. Additionally, Jorge Bustos, also a public accountant and auditor, joined the same team as a Senior.
Background
With expertise in national and international tax regulations and strong capabilities in process optimization and continuous improvement in reporting and tax compliance, Sergio Bernales has more than 10 years of experience in taxation. He previously worked as Tax Manager at RSM Chile, and earlier as Tax Supervisor and Tax Senior at the same firm. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a Tax Assistant and Semi-Senior at Deloitte Chile. Regarding his academic background, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Tax Law at the University of Chile.
Meanwhile, Jorge Bustos also has more than 10 years of experience in taxation, with a focus on analysis, review, control, and compliance with accounting and tax regulations. In his professional career, he served as Tax Manager at Sociedad de Inversiones Petrohue S.A. and previously as a Tax Auditor at Deloitte Chile. Regarding his academic background, he holds a diploma in Tax Analysis and Planning from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Both professionals joined the firm to further strengthen the Tax Practice and its advisory, consulting, and tax compliance services for clients across different sizes and industries.
