Tax Alert | CCL Reports | The 2024 Tax Filing Process has begun: What are the key dates and main recommendations for this new edition?

On April 1, the Internal Revenue Service (SII) launched a new edition of the 2024 Tax Filing Process (AT 2024), in which it is expected that “more than 4,700,000 taxpayers will file their annual tax returns, of which 1,900,000 are companies and 2,870,000 are individuals.”

It is worth noting that this process closes the 2023 fiscal year, during which taxpayers must submit a series of documents and complete forms on the SII website.

This is a process in which taxpayers with certain characteristics—both companies and individuals—report to the SII all commercial activities from the previous fiscal year, including income, expenses, taxes, and social security obligations. While all must complete the Tax Filing Process, not all are required to pay taxes. In fact, some individuals may even request a refund.

How can this process be carried out successfully? Christian Delcorto, Partner of Tax Consulting and Compliance at CCL Auditores Consultores, provides his main recommendations and tips in the following “Tax Alert” document.
