In line with the upcoming entry into force of the new Data Protection Law, CCL Auditores Consultores announced the creation of its new Digital Law and Artificial Intelligence practice, which will focus on supporting companies in their process of adapting to the new regulations and in the development of data and AI governance models.

Along with this launch, the firm also announced the incorporation of attorney Pablo Sylvester to lead the practice.

With a distinguished academic background, the specialist is the author of various publications in the field. He is also a licensed attorney in Spain and Argentina, holds a PhD in Law from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a Master’s degree in International and European Law from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, and a Master’s degree in Corporate and Business Law from the University of Barcelona, Spain.

“On December 1, 2026, Chile will align with data protection standards and, as happened previously in Europe, companies will need to prepare in advance for the transition to data governance and data subject rights in order to reduce risks and avoid sanctions,” Sylvester comments.

He adds that, in this context, “my mission will be to support clients with my experience in digital law, based on my academic and professional background within the European framework, from which many of the rules and principles that inspire this new regulation originate.”
