Valdivia–Osorno Forum: “Taxation in Land Subdivisions and Generational Transfer”

The Tax Compliance Partner, Christian Delcorto, and the Director of the Corporate Tax Area at CCL Auditores Consultores, Carlos Tapia, were invited to speak on these topics in the southern part of the country.

In October, more than 70 people attended discussions in Valdivia and Osorno on taxation in land subdivisions and generational transfer. The two events were organized by the consulting firm Aucontrib and featured the participation of CCL Auditores Consultores—one of the leading consulting audit firms of national origin with a presence in six regions—which was invited as a speaker and represented by CCL’s Tax Compliance Partner, Christian Delcorto, and the Director of the Legal Area, Carlos Tapia.

The event focused on addressing taxation and VAT in land subdivisions, asset appraisal and valuation, exiting the presumed income regime, and taxation related to generational transfer.

“We decided to accept this invitation because one of CCL’s pillars is to be a decentralized firm with a strong regional presence. In addition, the topics we addressed in this forum are highly relevant for the country and are currently being discussed by our authorities, such as the fiscal pact and the various tax reforms announced by Marcel. For this reason, we thank the consulting firm that invited us and values our work and experience”, explained Christian Delcorto, invited speaker and Tax Compliance Partner at CCL, at the beginning of the event.

On the other hand, the forum was attended by executives from various companies in the region, an audience that actively participated and showed great interest in the discussion. This was highlighted by Carlos Tapia, Director of the Legal Area at CCL and also an invited speaker: “We are very pleased with the reception we had at these two forums, as, given the lack of legal certainty, there is great interest in everything related to real estate taxation in a context of increasing regulation and constant external changes.”

Although CCL Auditores Consultores participated in this event as a guest, the firm announced that it is organizing its next event for Tuesday, October 17, in the city of Concepción, together with the Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception, focusing on the new fiscal pact, financing for SMEs, and regional investment in Biobío, as they aim to continue promoting events outside Santiago to highlight other regions of the country.
