The event was led by the firm’s partners and addressed the latest developments of the new fiscal pact presented today by the Government, the implications of real estate taxation in land subdivision, and upcoming sustainability topics in Chile from a financial perspective.

This Tuesday, while the Government announced the new pillars and legislative process that will begin its Fiscal Pact, more than 100 people attended in Osorno the First Tax and Financial Forum of the city organized by CCL AC Auditores Consultores — a leading auditing and consulting firm of national origin with presence in six regions — to learn about the updates that this new tax project from President Gabriel Boric’s Government would bring.
The event — a pioneering initiative in the region — was also followed by more than 150 people via a live stream on the firm’s social media channels. It was led by CCL AC partners, particularly from its audit, tax, financial consulting, and integrated business services areas. The partners addressed the latest developments of the new fiscal pact presented by the Government on Tuesday, the implications of real estate taxation in land subdivision, and upcoming sustainability topics in Chile from a financial perspective.
“This forum is an invitation to be prepared to understand and adapt to the regulatory changes that the Government will announce today regarding its Fiscal Pact proposal, to provide high-quality advisory services to our clients, and to promote sustainable business practices. Our work plays a key role in Chile’s economic and social development, and we must take on this challenge with responsibility and commitment,” explained Renato Estay, Southern Zone Partner at CCL AC at the beginning of the event.
On the other hand, the forum was attended by executives from various companies in the region, trade associations, and the Municipality of Osorno, which was represented by the Director of Administration and Finance of the Municipality, Sergio González.
For CCL AC Lead Partner Javier Jaque, who participated in the panel on the New Fiscal Pact, he stated: “To establish a fiscal pact, one would expect a process that lasts for the next 30 years, and one of the challenges of our tax system is achieving legal certainty and stability. For several years now, we have had successive tax reforms where the tax system has become heavily patched. This makes it difficult to achieve equity, which is fundamental in this system to ensure tax neutrality in economic activity, and this is something we have not observed in Chile. Therefore, one of the first pillars we should discuss is whether we are currently in a national context that allows us to achieve a fiscal pact.”
In addition to the conferences and discussion panels, a wide variety of networking activities were also carried out, allowing attendees to build connections and engage in conversations with leading experts.
The company also announced that their next event will take place in Antofagasta, as they aim to continue promoting events outside Santiago and highlight other cities across the country.
