The nine courses are led by the partners of the area, with the objective of enhancing and strengthening the tools that the firm’s collaborators have regarding International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
During this summer, the partners of the Audit area at CCL Auditores Consultores are conducting an Executive Training Program on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The nine courses are aimed at all collaborators of the firm interested in learning more about IFRS standards, as well as clients who wish to participate.
Each training session lasts one and a half hours (from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM), where at the end of each presentation, the differences between IFRS Full and IFRS for SMEs are discussed. Additionally, they are delivered in an online format so that offices located in other regions can also participate.
This Tuesday, January 16, Carlos Barahona, Audit Lead Partner at CCL Auditores Consultores, was the speaker responsible for launching the training sessions with the topic “Conceptual Framework and Presentation of Financial Statements – IAS 1”, where more than 40 participants joined and took part.
Meanwhile, the second training session took place on Thursday, January 18, led by Audit Partner Gerardo Ugalde, who covered the topic “Inventories – IAS 2”, explaining that it is an “important asset for all production companies or those engaged in buying and selling; therefore, it is essential to understand inventory management, valuation, and control.”
The remaining seven training sessions, which will run through February, will cover the following topics: “Property, Plant and Equipment and Intangible Assets – IAS 16 and 38”, “Separate Financial Statements – Investments in Associates and Joint Ventures – Consolidation – IAS 27, IAS 28 and IFRS 10”, “Revenue from Contracts with Customers – IFRS 15”, “Leases – IFRS 16”, “Agriculture (Biological Assets) – IAS 41”, “Income Taxes and Deferred Taxes – IAS 12”, and “Update on new pronouncements”.
