When Is It Advisable to File the 2024 Tax Return?: Christian Delcorto Explained It on Radio La Clave

The Partner of Consulting and Tax Compliance at CCL Auditores Consultores outlined the changes introduced in the process that closes the 2023 fiscal year and provided key recommendations to successfully complete it.

This Thursday, March 7, Christian Delcorto, Partner of Consulting and Tax Compliance at CCL Auditores Consultores, was interviewed on the program Clave Morse on Radio La Clave regarding the 2024 Tax Filing Season, the process that closes the 2023 fiscal year, during which taxpayers must submit a series of documents and complete forms on the website of the Internal Revenue Service (SII).

In the conversation with Javiera Quiroga and Felipe Reyes, Delcorto explained when it is advisable to file the tax return for both individuals and companies: “As a company, if I have a payment due, I must necessarily file the return between April 7 and April 30; I cannot do it after that date because penalties and interest would apply. If I am an individual with a payment due, I must file between April 1 and April 30, and only individuals who are entitled to a refund can file between April 1 and May 9. What we recommend at CCL is that for cases with payment due, the return cannot be filed before the publication of the CPI; therefore, we recommend that the ideal time to file is between the second and third week of April for both individuals and companies,” he said.
