The firm, together with the Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception, held an extended seminar on tax and financial topics currently being discussed in Chile.
In October, CCL Auditores Consultores, together with the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception, held the Forum: New fiscal pact, SME financing, and regional investment in Concepción.
The event featured presentations from several partners of the firm: Javier Jaque, Jaime Preiss, Francisco Orellana, Carlos Barahona, and Director Carlos Tapia. It also included the participation of the President of the Development and Investment Committee of CPC Biobío, Rodrigo Briceño; the President of the Tax Commission of the Chilean Association of Accountants, Juan Alberto Pizarro; and Senior Banker at Banco Bci, Clemente Saffie.
The event was divided into three segments:
- New fiscal pact: tax avoidance, related-party rules, inheritance tax, and real estate taxation.
- Financing and the accounting standards that SMEs must consider when starting their operations.
- Investment in the Biobío region.
“We thank UCSC for inviting us to organize and participate in this event, as we believe it is very valuable for the community to have these regional forums. In this regard, we believe that discussions on these matters are often concentrated in Santiago and Valparaíso—centralization that we at CCL aim to reduce in order to reach the various regions that will undoubtedly be affected by these issues and their tax implications,” explained Javier Jaque, Managing Partner of CCL Auditores Consultores, at the beginning of the event.
