With the aim of guiding its members on accounting and tax matters, the Osorno Dairy Producers Association (Aproleche) organized an informative seminar focused on understanding key aspects of family business succession and proper tax compliance.
The session was delivered by CCL Auditores Consultores, a firm with recognized experience in tax and accounting matters, with a presence in six regions of the country, including the city of Osorno.
First, Javier Jaque, Commercial Engineer and Managing Partner of CCL, provided an introduction on various aspects to consider regarding tax compliance and family business succession.
“Today we discussed a series of topics mainly related to new regulations on tax sustainability and the oversight of business groups. We also explained to attendees the key elements to consider regarding family succession, inheritance structures within family offices, and the main legal mechanisms available for these purposes,” the expert noted.
Meanwhile, Renato Estay, Southern Region Partner at CCL, delved into various cases and situations affecting taxpayers and family businesses, emphasizing the importance of correctly executing operations and fulfilling tax obligations.
“During this session, we provided a detailed presentation and analysis of the family succession processes that must be considered. As recommendations, the first is to be cautious with so-called ‘tailor-made solutions’ when making decisions. Care must be taken with life annuities, price setting, simulated sales, among other elements, which in tax matters may be considered offenses depending on the case and are subject to audit. Therefore, the recommendation is to seek proper advisory to ensure correct compliance.”
The manager of Aproleche Osorno, Anita Jans, emphasized that this activity reflects the association’s ongoing commitment to providing and updating knowledge in various areas, in this case related to tax matters.
“It was a successful, very dynamic, and engaging session. Members left very satisfied and grateful. The topics covered are highly relevant, especially those of current importance, as we must always stay up to date since they directly impact the dairy business. Therefore, understanding these matters is essential for better decision-making,” the manager concluded.
